By July 2001, Amazon.com apparently offered to phone number list promptly ship only 6 of the 511 Gordon Press Publications titles they advertised, with that Poor Man, James Bond, bouncing on and off their "most wanted" list like a rubber check. You may believe that Amazon.com is honest and can back-up their advertisements with or without gold letter books, but I do not … any more than I believe Gordon Press would deliver the grossly over-priced books it offers for sale. Amazon’s tactics look exactly like what I believe the title of Saxon’s book has been modified, although not distorted, as we have seen Gordon Press do previously.

What surprises me in this case is that the name Kurt Saxon was used. Gordon Press has tended not to use the names of authors when they claim to sell books still protected by the international copyright law. All I can conclude from this is that like Bowker’s, Amazon, and the Library of Congress, Kurt Saxon has been co-operating with Gordon Press Publications. Amazon.com advertised this title with Sales Rank: 608,834. This appears to be a situation where Amazon was clearly involved in the misrepresentation of publishers and prices.
