What do we actually do?

Post by mstakh.i.mom.i »

As vaccinations increase, normality is slowly returning. Cafes and bars are full, but the first people are also going back to the office. The first companies are therefore starting to plan for the Future Office. But what have we learned from Corona and what implications does it have for the future? In this article, I would like to reflect on some of my experiences, reproduce a scientific study and give an outlook on post-Corona.

In general, nothing has changed in the way we work since Corona. I believe that we still do these four types of work as shown in the image below from my 2018 study. It's just that they have shifted to the virtual world. While insurance email list we used to sit in a corner with headphones when we were doing highly concentrated work, we are now working from home. I also have two desks/work areas in my home office for concentrated and creative work. I switch between them every 2-3 hours.

I believe that there are generally two opposing ways of working:

Working with ourselves (alone): Highly concentrated and quiet work
Working in a Team: Creative and Teamwork
Productivity was greatly increased or productivity fell to zero
But is work productivity in times of Corona and home office? I heard two versions from many companies: productivity was greatly increased or productivity dropped to zero. The main reason why productivity dropped was often the lack of or non-constructive IT equipment. I have already discussed this in another article . In this article I would like to focus on the successful companies and discuss factors for success. Specifically: Why did some companies have higher productivity than others?
