First activities in the Metaverse and Web3

The first Commission on the Metaverse and Web3 has been established within the IAB Spain. In addition, this Commission elected Óscar Peña , Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at Wunderman Thompson Spain, as its first president.

This Commission was created with a clear mission to boost the potential of the technological revolution we are experiencing through dissemination and knowledge. In addition to Óscar Peña as president, the Commission is made up of consulting companies, creative and communication agencies, technology companies and brands…

He will take up the post for two years and will be responsible for energizing and supporting the work teams of all the Commission's projects . "I want to thank all the members. It is a tremendous honor, a challenge and a great responsibility that we all have ahead of us together. Without a doubt, Metaverse and Web3 are something new and challenging. The Commission is made up of a fantastic team of professionals. We are going to work and collaborate to do work that serves and guides the industry," explains Óscar Peña.

«We are aware that we are at the epicenter of a profound technological switzerland number data transformation, a time where things are advancing, evolving and changing at a dizzying speed, and that they are shaking up our industry even faster. There are many brands eager to learn, explore and understand the scope of a multifaceted and complex word such as the Metaverse,» he adds.

The Commission will work to develop, using clear and informative language , the reference framework that will allow brands to address projects and identify business opportunities in this new Internet of the Senses.

The Commission will begin its work by focusing on three key projects:

The first of these will be the preparation of an introductory White Paper , which will be characterized by its pedagogical, informative, objective and didactic approach. This document will establish the fundamental bases regarding what the Metaverse and Web3 are, and what impact they have on the industry.
The Commission will conduct a comprehensive study examining the potential of the Metaverse and Web3 from multiple perspectives including its impact on brands and its potential to transform the industry.
Finally, the Commission will develop a national map of companies that are linked to the development of the Metaverse and Web3.
