Methods and technologies of business engineering

Post by Maksudasm »

Business systems engineering is made possible by the use of a large number of methods and software tools related to the Orgware class. Thanks to them, companies can carry out organizational modeling and design of business processes. Attention is focused not only on specific segments of the organization's transformation, but also on the development of its entire architecture. It is necessary to make a choice in favor of those models, technologies and tools that are suitable specifically for the specifics of your company.

Among the main approaches and methodologies, the following can be noted:

Architecture of Integrated chinese malaysia phone number list Information Systems, or ARIS . The software product is a methodology for modeling business processes. The developer is Software AG. It is considered one of the key tools for building a company's architecture. Distinctive features include the presence of good visual tools, which ensures the clarity of processes, and a variety of models, which allows you to create about 80 types of graphs and diagrams. Due to the presence of its own methodology, it does not provide support for external methodologies.

TOGAF, or The Open Group Architecture Framework . It is the most common methodology due to its scalability and adaptability to the needs of a specific organization. The universality of application is explained by the fact that it is possible to develop the architecture of the entire company, as well as its individual segments. A special feature of this methodology is the presence of ADM, or Architecture Development Method, - a method for developing architecture.

MEGA Suite. It offers a comprehensive approach that allows not only to model architecture, but also to use transformation and control tools. This allows you to create models “as is” and “as it should be”. The flexibility of the toolkit is that it supports the possibility of any changes: creating new classes, objects, diagram types, connections, etc.

DEMO, or Design & Engineering Methodology for Organization. With this method, a complete and objective description of the organization and its functioning is possible. To create a complete model of the company structure, it is possible to describe business processes in detail.

MEMO, or Multi-perspective Modeling of the Enterprise. The use of multi-perspective models ensures the implementation, application and maintenance of enterprise information systems that are closely linked to the strategy and organization of the company. They integrate conceptual software models with economic behavior.

ORG-Master methodology and the architectural business engineering method ABI. The developer of this product is the domestic company Business Engineering Group. With its help, systematic optimization of companies' activities is carried out.

IDEF0. The purpose of this methodology of functional modeling and graphical notation is to formalize and describe business processes. Corresponds to the ISO 2000 standards system.

St. Gallen Business Engineering Principles. Developed by the Swiss University of Economic Informatics St. Gallen. The methodology covers the foundations and tools for various types of projects aimed at transforming an information society enterprise.

Zachman Framework. The initial purpose of this toolkit was to design and implement IT systems, and it was later transformed to work more generally with an organization.

Semantic model of a three-dimensional object, or SOM. It is an extensive method for modeling production systems. SOM technology consists of three levels of the production system model:

enterprise plan, or external perspective;

business process model, or internal perspective;

application system specification model, or resource perspective.

LEADing Practice. Contains reference materials such as libraries of processes, business competencies, goals, indicators, as well as cases of real experience of application on specific projects.

Other methods, such as the Gratz principles and the object-oriented business process modeling method, only address specific areas of transformation.
