LTikTok employees in the United States are experiencing agonizing times , as next Sunday , January 19, is the deadline for the Chinese company to permanently close or agree to sell the business to a third party . There is a slight chance that before that date, the US Supreme Court will uphold the social network's appeal of the ruling, and overturn the ban, or at least give it a longer period of time until there is a definitive resolution.
In the meantime, the company has issued an internal statement to its employees in the United States, which was accessed by the news outlet "The Verge" . In it, the company tries to reassure people, assuring them that "The bill is not written in a way that affects the entities through which you work, only the American user experience." However, it puts itself in the shoes of its employees, acknowledging that "We know it's unsettling not knowing exactly what will happen next."

While the possible scenarios that the company moj database face are being analyzed, this is the communication that TikTok has sent internally to its employees:
“On behalf of our HR teams, I want to acknowledge the resilience and dedication you’ve shown, especially over the past few months as we’ve pressed forward with our legal challenge to the TikTok ban in the US. As we await the US Supreme Court’s decision by January 19, we know you have a lot of questions and wish we could provide you with a clear roadmap of next steps. You’ve already shown tremendous patience and commitment, and that will be incredibly important in the days ahead. We know it’s unsettling not knowing exactly what will happen next.
Our leadership team remains focused on scenario planning and continues to chart a path forward. While there is still a rumbling of speculation in the media, please be assured that we will communicate any facts to our employees firsthand through this channel as details become more concrete.
“I cannot emphasize enough that your well-being is a top priority, and so most importantly, I want to reinforce that as employees in the U.S., your employment, pay, and benefits are secured, and our offices will remain open, even if this situation has not been resolved by the January 19 deadline. The bill is not written in a way that impacts the entities through which you work, only the user experience in the U.S. We are part of a global company with over a billion users. Together, we will continue to navigate this situation to protect you and our community of over 170 million users in the U.S..”
