So far, I'm thrilled with the speed improvements as they've helped us improve our SEO rankings and our admin area is much faster.

With the new multi-server setup, we introduced a new deployment workflow to bring WPBeginner on par with the other Awesome Motive product sites .

This means we now have proper version control and measures in place to prevent me from acting recklessly (e.g. adding plugins without proper testing, updating plugins via the dashboard without testing, etc.).

These changes have also paved the way for me to finally step out of development and hand over the reins of the WPBeginner site to our development team.

I've resisted it for years, but I think the time has come and I just have to accept it.

The new setup has neither cPanel nor WHM, which list of italy cell phone number makes me practically useless since I'm not that familiar with the command line anymore.

So far we have learned two important lessons:

First, updating WordPress is not that easy due to server synchronization/replication. When we updated my personal blog (SyedBalkhi.com ) to WordPress 5.2, the update files on one of the web nodes were not syncing properly and troubleshooting took much longer than expected. We are working on developing a better build/test process for this issue.

Second, we need to improve communication between teams because we had a small crisis with load balancer misconfigurations that caused some downtime. To make matters worse, I was on a transatlantic flight with Turkish Airlines and the WiFi wasn't working.

Fortunately, thanks to the quick response from the hosting team, everything was sorted out, but this helped us create several new standard operating procedures (SOPs) to better handle such incidents in the future.
